What is Peripheral Neuropathy?
Peripheral neuropathy is a common result of neurodegenerative diseases, chronic inflammation, infectious diseases, immunodeficiency disorders, and nerve trauma. Nerve damage is caused by a lack of blood flow, which results in reduced nutrients to the periphery of the body - most commonly the hands and feet. The resulting damage to small and large nerve fibers can have a major impact on quality of life.
Our Approach
Electrical stimulation acupuncture can be beneficial for peripheral neuropathy by creating an analgesic response in the body. Research shows that electroacupuncture affect the nerve fibers of the human body, and also the biochemical makeup of the brain. Biochemicals in the brain are responsible for pain responses in the body.

The amount of treatment needed to allow the nerves to recover varies greatly from person to person.
